Outside Sales Executive

(Currently Available Territories: Kingston, Oshawa and The Ottawa Valley)

Job Purpose:

As an OT Group Outside Sales Executive, you will have the responsibility of selling all of OT Group’s
technology products from industry leading manufacturers. You will be responsible for both short
term sales activity and the development and implementation of strategies to maintain existing
accounts and secure future business.

Job Duties:

  • Meet with all current and prospective clients to discuss OT Group’s relevant value propositions
  • Interact with client’s to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns
  • Improve the clients environment by identifying opportunities; recommending solutions
  • Offer solutions with the objective of retaining and growing customers’ and clients’ business
  • Determine opportunities by evaluating & analyzing client information
  • Identify and escalate priority issues per Client specifications
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Follow standard processes and procedures
  • Organize ideas and communicate messages appropriate to listeners and situations
  • Follow up and make scheduled call backs to customers where necessary
  • Achieve and exceed daily/weekly/monthly goals

Skills and Knowledge Qualifications:

  • A diploma or degree from a Post-Secondary institution
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, at decision maker levels
  • Self-starter and driven to succeed with strong organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated maturity, self-confidence and flexibility with good business sense
  • Ability to adapt and excel in a fast paced and changing market
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office applications and general technological proficiency
  • Clean police background check
  • bilingualism is an asset


  • Base Compensation:                    $35,000 -$45,000 + bonuses
  • Pension Plan:                                 Available after 2 years of employment
  • Health and Medical Coverage:    Available after 90 days
  • Auto Expenses:                              Compensation paid by KM, varies monthly (tied to fuel prices)
  • Training:                                          Approved courses reimbursed upon successful completion
  • Tools:                                              Laptop, Smartphone & other tools required to perform duties
